Not sure if this is a pillowcase because I'm not sure what it protects the pillow from? I think if you want to protect your pillow from light dust it might work but that's about it. It doesn't protect the pillow from sweat and definitely doesn't keep down down. I was originally hoping that this would at least keep the down inside. I kept getting feathers falling out of my down pillow and getting pricked in me in the middle of the night, so I pull this pillowcase over it and hope I can actually get some sleep without feeling like I'm getting pricked with needles. It didn't work and I was still left with down feathers all over my room making a terrible mess. The clasp is also quite uncomfortable. I would only recommend these if you are using them on a standard cotton pad for very light use and then plan on using a large sleeve over this protector so the center zip doesn't get in the way. Night.
