The top of the shoulder pad is cheeseboard so you can add other threaded accessories depending on your rail length and mounting location. The gasket is securely attached to the plate which was an issue with another similarly priced item. The pad itself is a bit narrow and doesn't match the neck-to-shoulder drop. I wish the pillow was a little wider, had a sloping thickness across the width, and was made of better quality foam. Overall, for the price, this is a really good little piece of gear. If you're trying to assemble Frankenstein with shoulder gear, this will surely come in handy.
