This is a good shoulder pad for the price. In hindsight, I would have bought the one with the mounting holes on the rear corner piece, but I did. The only suggestion I would have is that it could be a bit wider. The padding is pretty good, but it's quite "high" and tends to wobble a bit. I added some memory foam to smooth it out.

I tried the small rig and found it a little small but great for those "simple" days as well as days when my rig wasn't strapped to my shoulder and I was more mobile and needs to be more versatile this one from Camvate fits my shoulder better and I like to use it when my rig is fully set up and I need that little extra support and it's on my shoulder for all my handheld shots.

I really like my new shoulder pad and it fits perfectly with my gear. Note, however, that the bolts used to attach the stem are too short and won't fit securely (or at all). Luckily I have some longer bolts and using a stack of nuts for a more secure hold I was able to attach it. I am also very satisfied with the product.

The top of the shoulder pad is a cheese board so you can add other threaded accessories depending on the length of the rail and attachment point. The gasket is securely attached to the plate which was an issue with another similarly priced item. The pad itself is a bit narrow and doesn't match the neck-to-shoulder drop. I wish the pillow was a little wider, had a sloping thickness across the width, and was made of better quality foam. Overall, for the price, this is a really good little piece…

History: Originally I bought Small Rig's Shoulder Rig Cushion because the description said it had "Memory Foam" well apparently she lost her memory because it was like would you put cardboard on your shoulder and it was $40. $50 more than this version of CAMVATE. Anyway I sent it back and thought I'd try it and I was very satisfied. It's soft, sits well on your shoulder and actually takes some pressure off you. Good product! I'm very glad I tried it! I can recommend this version to everyone!
