Don't often write reviews but this remote control is amazing. It's very inexpensive (especially compared to Apple's official metal remote) and works great. We bought two to replace the remotes for our 3rd gen Apple TV which were starting to suck, particularly with the 'right' button which often caused the 'middle' button to click. (In fact, I accidentally bought The Last of the Mohicans while trying to hover "right" to read the reviews.) To be clear, this remote feels a bit flimsy - but hey, it costs 7 dollars! If you're worried about breaking it, buy two or three! The remote worked instantly with our Apple TV 3 - no pairing or setup required. I also saw in some reviews that they came with a dead battery. Ours showed up with a small, removable paper liner that kept the battery charged during transport. So it's easy. worked! :) But the best thing about this remote is that the button presses are WAY BETTER than even the original Apple remotes. We never miss a button press or the remote doesn't think we're selecting when we're actually trying to hover left or right. Highly recommended - this remote is great for Apple TV 3! :)
