I make homemade cosmetics and soaps and needed a more accurate scale than my kitchen scale. I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years and have worked with small and large floor scales worth tens of thousands of dollars. These scales work just as well as the more expensive scales. It has a solid construction and is equipped with a level indicator to ensure the level, which is very important to get accurate results. It's very sensitive, which means it needs to be placed on a hard surface and away from drafts to get a stable reading. My only slight disappointment is that the description says it includes "calibration weights" in the plural, but only one weight is included. For higher accuracy it is better to calibrate at least three points with three different weights. For the way I use this scale, a one point calibration is sufficient, but I will purchase additional calibration weights. Note: This is the scale used to measure WEIGHT. Anyone trying to measure milliliters is measuring VOLUME and should use something like a graduated cylinder. Also for most water based liquids 1ml = 1g.
