They are advertised as strong and unbreakable, but have a softer finish that allows them to be applied easily and deeply. See photo. After just one use, several dishes came out of the dishwasher with deep scratches. A very unsightly and possibly not very good safe. And I literally cut toast or cake with an ordinary table knife. Nothing permanent. So disappointed. They are beautiful.
