While I love this blanket I wanted a less expensive blanket for my grandson's birthday as he loves mine. So I made a comparison. I SPEND HOURS READING REVIEWS ON AMAZON. I read 94 weighted blanket reviews and took notes on the brand. I didn't bother reading reviews from the same duvet manufacturer twice, and I skipped weighted fleece duvets since I didn't want fleece. I wanted quilt #1 to BE WELL MADE, #2 BEADLES NOT TO LOOSE OR EXTREMELY SHIFT, AND #3 TO BE A QUALITY FABRIC with no holes or negative fabric comments. I should have just brought this brand but remember I wanted something less expensive to fit my birthday budget. I thought finding one would be easier than it was. I also figured that getting one with 200+ reviews or at least 100 would be best. Since it was surprisingly hard to find, I decided to post this. I ignored complaints about the size (read people's sizes) or it was too heavy (guess weighted blankets are heavy) or anything else other than #1, 2 or 3 people complained about. I list the acceptable ones. with over 200 initial ratings. It was only 8. EIGHT! Only 8 of the 94 brands that had no complaints about pearl bleeding, fabric quality, or poor workmanship also had over 200 reviews. They were in no particular order; Manlinar, Bed Extra, Tempcore, EXO, Joyhing, Revain Basics, MOOKA and this Aricove blanket. There were 6 others on my list with ratings between 100 and 200. They were; Hulsey, Mr Sanomed, Wesmore, Franco Slip, Cloud and Khabilif. There were 15 with ratings from 1 to 100, plus 8 with no ratings. There were 57 different brands on my list that complained about quality, leaking beads, or bad fabric. DENIAL OF RESPONSIBILITY! I haven't read all the reviews. I stopped after the first 94 reviews on the day of my search. So this is not a complete list! Only 94 REVIEWS read on my iPad on any given day. I'm sure there are other good ones that aren't on this list. I could have made a different list on a different day or computer. And since I only read the review for a particular brand once, it might have been a different review when I listed it later. And I didn't specify fleece blankets. And I could be wrong about the name. Etc. My Aricove duvet is well made and washable. If you can afford it, buy this one. It also comes with a zippered pocket which is very handy as I now take this blanket with me wherever I sleep. He's not fluffy. The weight of the blanket forbids this. Also, know that weighted blankets don't help everyone sleep better. So don't count on it. I was very surprised it worked for me, but after not sleeping for over ten years I was ready to try it. And they feel very heavy. But I love this duvet, it should last me for years and I can finally sleep soundly.
