Good reliable phone - needs more intuitive menu features

I've been using this phone for 3 months now and find it great and reliable. Calls are clear and I love that you can have additional phones with caller ID. I have voicemail so I never used an answering machine. The belt clip comes in handy, and the headset (sold separately) comes in handy when I want to get on with my chores while talking to friends on the phone. The downside is that I don't find navigating the menu options very intuitive. On my old cordless phone, I just press one button to see my caller ID and keep scrolling to see each number. With this system I have to find the 'Caller ID' option in the menu, then press 'OK' (if you forget to press 'OK' this takes you to other menu options) and then scroll to see the numbers. When I see a caller's number on my old phone, I can call that person back simply by pressing the talk button and they start dialing. I could even do this with long distance numbers with different area codes. My old system automatically dialed 1 for me for different area codes, and when I wanted to save that number in my phone book, 1 was automatically there. Not with this system. With this system, if the # in my caller ID is a long distance call with a different area code, I can't press "talk" to call back because 1 isn't dialed for me for a different area code. I need to go into the menu, find 'phone book', press 'ok' to select that feature, and then find the number (make sure when you program this number into your phone you put 1 for different area codes). Overall this is a great phone but it needs a more intuitive menu system. If you don't mind scrolling through the menu items and clicking "OK" each time, that's no problem.

Pros
  • Only includes two handsets, base and charger
Cons
  • Very expensive
