I bought these for my daughter who was going on a week long canoe trip. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on Keene that she wouldn't wear again. I think you get what you pay for. They fell apart on the first day of their 4 day canoe trip. The insides came out and went back in and stayed in place leaving them uncomfortable with or without the insert. waste of money. If you need water shoes, spend a little more so your kid can actually wear them.
