Review on FosPower Speaker Connectors Receiver Amplifiers by Jamal Edwards

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well, that's different!

For most items I buy from Revain, I try to do my research. what are my needs How should it work for me? Do I have a choice of brands and designs? Not the most pressing questions, but it's a start. After installing everything I need, I make a purchase. I realized I wasn't going to "make it work". It should work exactly how I want it to. We tend to agree to the project or not want to deal with the return. Sometimes I'm not sure if I want to keep certain items as sometimes I get nervous. This is one of those moments. Not only that, I'm waiting to leave reviews because sometimes a product works right out of the box but eventually fails. Not to mention that these banana plugs are not designed for long-term use. At this point I refer to the photos. The packaging put me off a bit. Banana corks come in pairs in a plastic bag. The pouches come in a large plastic bag with a zip top lid. Simply swipe your thumb or finger to close the bag. I have to say that I am helping other companies in some way by sending them banana plugs in thin boxes. The slim box contains a clear plastic mold that holds the plugs in place. Judging by the quality, maybe the money is invested in the right place. This design is very typical, it just adds a very unique wrapper. It's unique in the sense that you have to take it apart to access the screws to attach the wire. The ferrule should unscrew and once you feel the banana plug loosen from the ferrule you will need to push it back. The tip of the plug has slots that allow the tip to spring and fit snugly into each port. Which brings me to the tip part, it will get stuck on some of them when you pull the sleeve off. You can use a little pressure. Nothing that requires the use of creative removal tools or methods. After removing the connector, you have access to two screws that need to be loosened to secure the wire. Once that's done, insert the grommet through the top of the connector and screw back in to fully assemble. The hole drilled in the connector seems to fit 12 gauge wire, maybe even 10 gauge wire. This banana fork reinvents the wheel for a sleek fork design. What sets it apart is the sleeve, which gives it a more professional look by covering the screws that hold the wire in place. In general, the quality of the banana plug is very good. I gave fewer stars for "Ease of use". This is mainly about the grommet, which is an extra step you need to do after connecting the plug and cable. There are other designs that might be easier to use. That in other designs you only need wire cutters. This connector requires wire cutters and a screwdriver. Enjoy shopping!
