Don't Ignore The Neagtive Reviews!

These lamps look pretty good and you will probably be happy with them.AS LONG AS YOU DON"T EXPECT THEM TO LIGHT UP!Don't ignore the negative reviews about the lights crapping out and not working. It's true. They DO NOT WORK PROPERLY!If you're very lucky and the outside temp does not drop below 50 degrees they MIGHT work for a few day or even weeks. But that's if you're extremely lucky.I Love the look of the lamp itselfI love the flickering lights.if it would actually workBut the lighting feature is so obnoxiously, horrifically, pure garbage that it screams class action lawsuit. If there is an American company out there that can make these same lamps. But with lights that ACTUALLY WORK I would buy them.In the mean Time. I'm going to try to figure out why these garbage lights fail to light up properly. In my case. They only worked one single night. That night happened to be fairly warm. About 55 degrees. As soon as it dropped below 50 degrees. They started to fail. I'm guessing there's some very poor solder connections inside that are contracting causing them to fail.Maybe if I take it apart I can solder the connections myself and get them to work better. If I'm lucky.*Update:After taking one apart I discovered the guts are assembled with whisper thin wires. I'm talking hair thickness gauged wires! So it's impossible to cut&repair them without breaking them. And the actual LED lights are tiny little squares glued onto a VERY paper thin circuit board. The On/Off switches are also very low quality and prone to shorts.I think what's happening in most cases is because the wires are so crazy thin that they are breaking and shorting out.If the manufacturer stepped up the wire gauge to something reasonable I think most of the lighting failures would go away. There's no good reason to use hair thin wires like this on ANYTHING!
