Purchased this product primarily for Prickly Pear Juice at our local Prickly Pear Festival this summer. This is the best way ever. Eleven liters of frozen pears (full peak) yield 5 liters of excellent quality juice without pulp. A traditional juicer would produce 3 liters of pulp, which is more difficult to work with in recipes. Plus, the traditional juicer makes the kitchen look like a crime scene with pear juice and pulp everywhere! It was so clean not a drop wasted. There was no need to add water to the bottom as the steam stays at the bottom there.
