Review on Hardline Products HR-8063-2 Hour Meter,Black: Accurate Time Tracking for Optimal Performance by Jay Aukuso

I recently bought a new boat with new prime movers and new kicker motors. I installed them to keep track of service times. Installation was very easy. Just wrap a few turns around the connector wire, tie to keep the turns from unraveling, and that's it. I've checked the gauges several times over the summer and this fall and so far they seem to be accurately counting the hours on each engine. The only downside to this item, like many others, is that the manufacturers don't make it with an easily replaceable battery. If the battery fails, the device must be replaced. Not sure if this device uses non-volatile storage in case someone tries to hack into the case and change the battery.
