If you are looking for a round softbox, you probably know that there are too many brands with different price points and choosing one can sometimes lead to that you choose a mistake. When I first wanted to upgrade my small octagonal softbox, I was looking for a 35 inch softbox. I wanted to get the Aputure Light II, but it was and still is very expensive. I bought a Neewer softbox but he had one. big problem: the first assembly wasn't that easy because of the existing rod system, and for the same reason I didn't mind disassembling for transport or simply putting away. I got this GODOX QR-P90, I wasn't sure what to expect from it as it was only recently on the market, but now that I have it I can say that it will replace my old softbox. This softbox is 90cm or 35.4 inches, the build quality is good, the bars bend to take shape but I have a feeling they can take on an odd shape if you push them too hard. It doesn't look like they're going to break though. You will get a bag, a softbox and 2 diffusion plates (inside and front) and they attach to the softbox with velcro. The softbox itself weighs 1.5 kg. The size of the bag is decent. It's actually not too thick because Godox decided to make the ring smaller (15cm in diameter compared to the usual 18cm). This softbox is almost ready to use, you don't need to assemble anything as the rods are already attached to the speedring and to the outer softbox shell. If you need to use it, you need to install it. To do this, pull the rods up until they snap into place. I've found that it's best to do this on opposite sides at the same time, rather than individually. The softbox is ready in just a few seconds. The QR-P90 has a Bowens mount, it's metal and doesn't rotate like my old one. If you don't want to use the softbox, you have to use the quick release buttons to release the rods, just pull the rod a little and press the quick release button, do this for each rod, they are 16 in total and that's it! One thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a mesh to prevent light from spreading, so I had to buy it from Revain for about $30 (https://amzn). .to/3fhTLWb) I highly recommend buying this over the Godox P90L which doesn't have a quick reset system.
