CatchStar: A Retailer That Doesn't Live Up to Its Hype

Although CatchStar advertises countless hours of entertainment, it never quite delivers. Their product selection is satisfactory, but the quality and support are severely lacking. To begin with, the items' longevity isn't what it's cracked up to be. My kid's play tent collapsed on her during a playdate, and the basketball hoop I got lasted all of two usage. Spending money on items that break under typical use is disheartening. Poor service to customers is also an issue. I received useless responses and long wait times when I contacted them about the faulty goods. It's annoying when a business doesn't value its customers' business. The website is also not very user-friendly. The website is poorly organized, making it hard to find what you need, and the checkout procedure is tedious. A difficult-to-navigate website is not worth the trouble. While CatchStar has promise, it still has a ways to go before it can be considered an ideal shop for children's recreational goods. It's very bad, since with some improvements to quality and service, they could be a serious market player.

Pros
  • High-Quality, Long-Lasting Materials
Cons
  • Compared to some competitors, higher pricing
