After trying for several hours to connect my Motorola smartphone to this projector I have definitely come to the conclusion that it is not possible. I'm not sure if this is Motorola's sole credit or the projector's fault. For the first hour I was desperately trying to figure out what the password for "Duelcast-****" is, "PSK:***" the only answer I could find online. I thought that meant the password would be "PSK:DC1C" since my device is a duelcast CD1C, right? No, the password is 12345678 and it is displayed at the top of the screen after you click Duelcast in the projector menu. PSK simply stands for "Pre-Shared Key", a common passphrase that I wasn't aware of. After it connected via my phone's wifi I was stumped as the instructions say to press "screen mirroring" which isn't very helpful. Instead I go to "Screencast" and it can't find anything. Okay, let's try connecting it directly. To do this, I put my phone in developer mode. OK, done. Then enable USB debugging and click OK for a few things. OK, done. What now? There are instructions but my phone won't stream to the device. I check the "screenshot" but there is nothing. OK last shot, let's try WIFI. Connect the projector to Wi-Fi by pressing and holding the menu button and enter my Wi-Fi credentials. It's connected. Now it's time to go to "Mirror Screen". Again, there is nothing in my "screenshot". Not wanting to give up anytime soon, I download the Miracast app and think maybe it will work with Miracast on a projector. No the miracast app just takes me to my "screenshot" lol. So I bought a $25 Chromecast and gave up trying to get this projector to work with my smartphone. I've been told that even if I can connect this to screen sharing, most android apps block screen sharing because "copyright" or "obsolete technology" is fine. certainly. Still a decent budget projector. and by that I mean it's impossible to focus on the edges, but it's bright enough to see the screen in a dimly lit room. Yes, it can be corrected +/- 15 degrees, but then either the top or bottom half of the screen will be blurry. This is great for a Chromecast as there is a powered USB port next to the HDMI so you don't need 2 outlets. And that's pretty much the only feature I like.
