My waist, where my pant waist is, is exactly 36 inches. I read reviews that this strap is running out so I ordered 38 inch. I had to punch TWO extra holes and it's MUCH longer. The other reviewers have to disagree on how FAT they are! DO NOT order one size up: measure your waist where the pants sit and other SIZES. Since I had to make two more holes, I can tell you that the belt is made quite cheaply and is definitely not real leather. It has a fabric backing so when punching holes the threads will stick out and need trimming, so not too big! As you can see in the photos I posted, the center hole on the 38" belt from the end of the buckle to this original center hole (not including the 2 extra ones I punched) measures 39 1/2". ! "Belt at 37.5"! So I might even suggest downsizing! I was very disappointed with other dishonest Revain reviewers who made me buy a strap that was too long due to a filling problem!
