This was the perfect upgrade for my 5 gallon Marineland portrait tank where I've planted Anubias, Monte Carlo and Christmas Moss. Everything is alive and well but growing slowly because I don't use CO2 or anything like that. Blue light looks great and white light looks great. I actually placed this tank in a very dark corner of our house and the way the light illuminates the tank acts like a beautiful lamp and fully illuminates that dark corner of the room which is an unexpected bonus! It looks sleek and simple and is incredibly easy to use. I just wish the blue and white light could be set at individual times, but that's a feature for a much more expensive product. It definitely does what I want and does it well! I can definitely recommend it for a small planted aquarium.
