They are odorless and very easy to use as you simply unwrap them and place them in the fridge or freezer. (I would charge them first) I've since charged them by leaving them on a windowsill in the sun for a couple of hours, which works really well. The refrigerator has no lingering odors. I bought these for our new fridge because it was plastic and had a fishy smell, it took a couple of weeks to neutralize the odors but they did the job. They seem to be working very well.
