I used this garland on my fence. I doubled it, rotated it and then put a light on it. It has withstood many downpours and strong winds. It worked great and I was able to take it off and roll it up to use again on my fence next year. Took about 1.5 months. If you're looking for something that looks and feels real up close this isn't for you, but if you're decorating a fence or street this is perfect. I didn't have much of a problem with her moulting and the only time something fell apart was when I took her off the fence, but I wasn't very careful with that. Overall I would buy this garland again and maybe I can think of a few other decorations.
