Review on πŸ‘Ά Babyganics Fragrance Free Moisturizing Daily Lotion - 17oz Pump Bottle (Pack of 2) by Jeff Salvino

Revainrating 5 out of 5

good everyday lotion for little ones

This is a good lotion that got (at the time of my purchase) a 2 for toxicity on ewg.org/skindeep. Another reviewer gave this lotion a lower rating because he/she said he/she got a bad rating on ewg.org, but I don't think he/she has examined this particular lotion for its individual rating. Often a brand can have many badly rated products, but also good ones. This is also the case with this lotion - the fragrance-free version. I agree that it's not as effective on very dry skin, but it's not intended to treat very dry skin - it's described as a "day lotion" on the bottle. Another point from previous reviewers that I disagree with is that this lotion absorbs well into the skin. As with most lotions, once applied it takes a few minutes to absorb into the skin. I think some of the bad reviews are due to the expectation that this lotion will heal very dry skin when the other product in the line is designed to do just that: (which also got good reviews in the ewg.org skin database) BabyGanics Bye Bye Dry Moisturizer Eczema Care Cream, 8 fl oz, Packaging May Vary (Although my child doesn't have eczema, I often use it in the winter when his skin needs more moisturizer.) So BabyGanic's Smooth Moves Daily Lotion is great for everyday moisturizing from normal Skin. for moderately dry skin, while Bye Bye Dry is suitable for very dry skin. Most days I mix them together to get the right moisture level.

Pros
  • baby care
Cons
  • big and bulky
