Will not open to 2.75" as described. Here is a photo of the width of the table where I placed the clamp, @ 2.5 inches, the clamp was difficult to open fully but when I did I was able to force it into the table. After 5 seconds he shot with incredible power. power, off the table. Luckily I had time to put the camera on the mount, otherwise it would have broken for sure. I went through this a second time just to make sure I applied the clamp correctly and got the same result. I wouldn't recommend setting this to anything over 2 inches.
