Unless I get two unusual specimens in a row it looks like Bud will ship these boxes with screws and the recesses for the screws are molded but no holes for cut the screws. Hammond boxes do not have this problem. The box looks just as good as the competition, well fitted and finished but lacks threaded screw holes. Even the Chinese have threaded holes. I don't like the idea that I have to do the finishing for them and might even break the screw if I'm not careful to force the screws to tap the threads. Update: I have now received my third bud box. This one is marked "Made in Taiwan" and has threaded screw holes. So they're pretty inconsistent, I never know what I'll get.
