I love car gadgets so in my world they are often 12V, known as the ones you plug into your cigarette lighter. Our garage is far from home, so this converter is perfect for testing said gadgets without having to travel. In the picture I show the encoder with the Garmin Speak connected. The converter is still fairly new and I noticed that several reviewers stated that it stopped working after a fairly short period of time. I'll update if it doesn't keep connecting.
