Review on Enhanced Data Transfer: Mitutoyo 264 007 RS 232C Input Tool Simplifies Connectivity by Robbie Guinn

The advantage of the RS-232C version over USB is that you can initiate reading data from a PC by sending a character over the serial port. However, sometimes you want to emulate a keyboard so that it can input data into any program. I created a codeplex program for exactly this purpose (search codeplex for "mitutoyo"). This is a great reader for Mitutoyo SPC enabled instruments and this software makes it even more flexible!
