I bought this brace to provide support after ankle surgery. Four weeks after my surgery I was switched to boots but I wanted to work on my strength and range of motion at home and the boots were too tight. Although I could hobble around without boots, I found a supportive wrap to be much more helpful. I decided to order a bandage because it seemed easier than constantly bandaging and uncoiling my ankle. Judging by the description and reviews, this bracelet is good for what I needed. The mount is sturdy and looks well made. The braces fit well and the laces allow you to adjust the fit for a tight or loose fit. It gives me the support I've been looking for but still gives my ankle some flexibility. Although I had almost the same flexibility, I found my gait to lag less when wearing a corset than when wearing a brace. The only downside is that the material is very rough and uncomfortable for my skin and the eyelet stitching runs right along my surgical scars; However, adding a thin sock under the bandage completely solved this problem. The photo on the box shows it being worn with a sock so maybe it should be worn that way. Also, the sock helps keep the braces clean, so I'll probably wear them anyway.
