I'll start with the good. The doll is very expressive and easy to manipulate. I found that when I put my hand in it it seemed to come alive almost by itself, meaning I'm either crazy or the doll is cursed or it's just a good design with lots of character. (She's called Violet because her parents were extremely unimaginative and that was the first thing that came to mind.) Out of the box: You need to fluff up the fur and pull out the bits that are sticking out from under the seams. Someone else mentioned trimming the fur around the mouth. There's a lot of lint around the mouth that gets in the way and I'll probably have to do that too. It doesn't look terrible, but it closes the mouth a little. Imagine trying to style a troll's hair into a goatee and there you are. It's not really something you can customize, so I have to live with that. I was surprised that the arms and legs weren't stuffed, lifeless and flexible considering they look like they have weight in the photos. Bar manipulation is a little awkward with a super flexible arm. It's a bit like the scene where Harry Potter was enchanted with the arm bone. I want the arms and legs to be stuffed at least a little so they don't dangle in different directions. Otherwise the overall quality is pretty good. Inconsistencies: The description states that the doll wears 2T. I tried the 2T t-shirt and it comes down to the doll's ankles. Maybe they meant 12M? My doll was about 27 inches tall so I'm pretty sure they sent me the right product even though it doesn't even come close to 30 inches in my book. Don't be like me and remove the tag before trying on the clothes on the doll. I'm hoping I know someone with a 2 year old who likes Star Wars. I will try a different size later.
