Review on πŸ”Œ 1-Gang Recessed Low Voltage Cable Plate - Ivory by DataComm Electronics 45-0001-IV by Daniel Shankle

Fits more than you think - requires an old work box

I am building a theater and needed a wall panel to run all my cables. Although honestly I was very worried about how much it would fit. Let me tell you I ran a CL2 subwoofer wall cable, 7-12 ga wall speaker cable, 50ft IR extender, CL2 coax (media bridge), 50ft CL2 HDMI (media bridge). and there's still room for more. . Suffice it to say that it has enough space for cables. It's worth noting that it's designed to work with low-voltage cords (i.e. no power cords or outlets). That way you don't plug it into a standard blue electrical outlet (one reviewer was upset that it wouldn't fit in one). Instead the instructions clearly state that you are using an old work box with a low voltage unit. Carlon makes a few of these, which sell for about $1.50 at hardware stores. Revain also sells them. Just keep that in mind when ordering this.
