Great design and quality poor durability

Ok so I was very happy to get this because I already have a Manftotto version straight without the pistol grip and it works great and functional but not much with him. I watched a few YouTube videos before buying it and since the Manfrotto was so good and they did the job I thought it might be worth a try. Also, I've enjoyed editing things in the past and I still use other products. - DESIGN -Pro I want to design it very well, it's made of some kind of polymer that seems very durable. It's heavy though, so don't expect it to be light for its size, although I'd agree as, like I said, I'd prefer the excellent build quality here, even if it weighs a bit more. That might be a downside for some, but not for me, and the weight is negligible. The ball joint design is amazing and it's so easy to manipulate with one hand, I live, and the handle shape is really cool and it's really comfortable. in your hand The mounting plate on top is very secure and I don't feel like what I put on will fall off or come loose over time, in fact I had a hard time getting things off of it once they were on but not very hard , just enough to make me feel even more certain that what was attached would stay in place. I'll mention weight again here because I know it could be a deal breaker for some. The design is also the biggest downside. Here now I don't know if I got it defective or not but I've used mine every day for almost 30 days after that, the legs shouldn't stay in place or closed anymore, they fold over everywhere and the dents stay where i put them. I tied a hair tie around the top of my legs just below the ball to keep my legs from dangling. I've had this tripod with the mount for 3 months now and it's only gotten worse since then, it won't even stand up, at least not easily. it will at the slightest movement when something is attached to it. That doesn't mean it can't be used, it stays there with my phone which weighs around 250 grams but only if you don't touch it and play around with it it still works but not as well as my Manfrotto that had used a lot and is still good. - PRACTICAL USE - Well for real use I'd say I'd really love this thing if it worked as well as Manfrotto but due to design flaws it's less useful to me. It works well as a stand or tripod but isn't that stable. If you use a phone and keep the ball upright it should be fine, but if you use it as intended and move the ball sideways you'll have a stability problem if it tips over unless that's what you're supporting not very easy and I mean very easy! What do I like about it? I like the pistol grip design the most, I use it for mobile shooting when I want to hold my phone and fix the shot, it helps a lot since the grip shines honestly! It's basically made for that purpose and does it very well, it feels good in the hand and works great for holding hands and now that I have a snapped hairband it won't unravel. My impressions I'd say it's a bit mixed, I love it and hate it! I wish mine worked better and maybe mine broke again. For on-the-go action shooting this is really amazing, especially if you don't want to use a gimbal but just want to toss something in your bag and take it with you. It's heavy, but not too heavy in my opinion, so it's great to take with you on a hike or on the road. I just wish the tripod function worked better as a tripod or even horizontal use is pretty much useless, it works in some cases and fails miserably in others so in this case it's an unreliable device. Also the wobbly ball was a big disappointment, especially from Manfrotto who owns Joby, they literally dropped the ball here because it can't take much weight and wears out quickly. As I said, I've used it with an iPhone 11 with an ultra light shock case and at times it had trouble holding the weight. Anyway, I hope this helped someone and I hope Joby/Manfrotto fixes the design. I can do my part and see if I can improve it like I said I want to love it but it makes me hate it but I don't want it.
