This is a caffeinated drink that promotes a good awakening and can work as a light pre-workout. While the label says to wait 2030 minutes for the effect to kick in, I found it takes a bit longer for it to kick in, so give a time closer to 4050 minutes. It doesn't mix with water as well as I had hoped. Although stirring the water immediately (or while pouring) causes most of it to mix, it always ends up with a small layer of powder that sticks together at the bottom of the glass and doesn't mix. The effect will be a little softer. Taking a double serving brings it a bit closer to a full pre-workout intake, but remember this is a heavy caffeine intake that comes later in the day. The extra ingredients appear to make this drink a double daily multivitamin. . It comes with a small funnel with a standard scoop, making it easy to mix in a standard sized water bottle. (Needs to be shaken to mix.) Flavor is a bit tart but fairly mild overall. Maybe just because of the coloring, but I would like to compare it to blueberries. Colors the tongue light blue. Every drink, every time. I don't think this drink is necessary or useful for "playing" in a casual context or even in a competitive context.
