Review on πŸ–±οΈ SteelSeries QcK Gaming Surface - Premium Small Cloth Mouse Pad: Unmatched Precision for Gaming Sensors by Fredo Zhan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

QcK Hard = air hockey; QcK Limited = Win

1. QcK Hard Size Medium ($30): three stars The tracking on this pad is phenomenal, but the slack does the tracking very difficult control. It feels like I'm playing air hockey. Maybe it's a combination of my DeathAdder mouse with very smooth feet on this mat, but the gliding is too strong. In FPS games, I couldn't keep the crosshair still when I wasn't doing anything and had a hard time moving back and forth accurately. Also, my fast mouse movements in FPS games were too loud with this mat (most noticeably in the company of others). The pad itself has a high quality finish, is very durable and probably worth the price if your mouse doesn't slip as much as mine. I returned the QcK Hard to a QcK Limited (fabric with a stitched edge), also a medium size ($20): five stars. This version runs just as well as the hard version, but I don't feel like I'm playing air hockey. in a gun fight. I recommend this model over the Hard model. The build is great and the seams don't seem to rip after a tough FPS battle. Also cheaper. It's pretty silly that multiple product styles live under one product and this separates reviews from each other. The styles are so different that a review of one style (QcK Hard) is by no means a review of another (QcK Limited Cloth Stitched Edge). Also, most of the reviewers here don't state what style they have, so their reviews are basically useless.

Pros
  • Best choice of eSports pros for almost 20 years
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
