First positive feedback I take back

Well I gave it 5 stars a month ago because it worked so well the first few times I used it. We've only used it about 5 times because I bake bread about once a week. When I last noticed the bread was stale the next day (the corners were getting hard) I thought maybe because we were eating it at my mother's house, which is better air conditioned than mine. But we tried again yesterday on a fresh loaf and today our bread is stale and nothing has changed here. In addition, the beeswax coating is clearly coming off. When I washed it (and I always handwashed it very gently, rubbing a small amount of soap in COLD water onto my hands) I could feel all these rolling sand particles, which I can only assume are they are beeswax. It worked great the first few times! I was so excited but now I'm so disappointed! I really wanted to avoid using plastic bags to keep the bread fresh. I still have a return period so I think I'll have to return it as defective. They say it will take a year, but I didn't even last a month, and I was as gentle with him as I could. :(That was my first positive review a month ago: We're 5 days away and it kept our homemade whole grain bread fresh by simply wrapping it and keeping it on the counter! Keeping bread in the fridge is a no-no for freshness. (changes the gluten structure) so this is exactly the solution I was looking for! Wow, something that actually does what it says on the tin! Can't comment on durability as we just got ours but we've had it a few times now washed and that's it It's still good It smells like honey (which I love) but I didn't realize it added flavor to the bread at all (and I'm very sensitive) Am all the same Will recommend to family and friends!
