Didn't expect it to be so sticky!

I guess since my previous experience with wax film was wax paper I expected something like this; but the thing is sticky. It works pretty well and I love how it smells and the fabric is big enough to wrap around my bread. But I find the texture uncomfortable. Maybe it's different in colder climates? But at 78f (room temp in an air conditioned room in summer) it's sticky. Very difficult to clean as it is sticky. There are crumbs in there. I only use it for bread so just don't wash it too often…

  • I'm looking forward to
Cons

Unsatisfied for container sets

I like the concept and I think it was a waste of money to buy this. However, it wasn't easy to tell if it was really clean after washing as the wax coating itself is sticky. You must use warm water or the wax will melt. I had to carefully wrap it in towels between uses to ensure it stayed clean and dry. But I kept using it. Yesterday I unpacked the item to take out the bread inside. It was infested with ants, so disgusting I threw everything in the bin outside. Before this incident, there had…

Keeps my bread fresh!

I tried different ways to keep homemade bread fresh and to avoid as much plastic as possible. The canvas bags I bought were very good and kept the bread out of the light but still dried out almost immediately. I saw that Bee's Wrap reusable bread wrap was the size of a bread pan, so I gave it a try. I know I haven't worked with it long enough to use it easily, but the piece is big enough to wrap completely around a loaf, and two days later my bread was as fresh as it was baked. I don't…

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose

Great concept but very difficult to keep clean

They fit nicely in my homemade bread box but are very difficult to clean. You can only use cold water and rubbing with a sponge will hurt. I really wanted this product to work because we are trying to move away from single use materials and plastic. I also had a hard time wrapping bowls. I could never get a good seal with the warmth of my hands, no matter what utensil I used. Also, be careful if you have pets: dogs can be very attracted to them. My dog stole one from the pantry and chewed it…

Save my sourdough!

I bake two loaves of sourdough every week. Since it's just my wife and I, it takes us a whole week to take care of it. Bee Wrap is the perfect way to keep our bread fresh all week long. This will keep the cut from drying out and the crust from getting too hard, preventing mold from forming like it does when stored in a plastic bag. This size is perfect for a 900g batard. (We store the unsliced bread in a paper bag until ready to eat.) As mentioned, it had a fairly strong honey odor that carried

Pros
  • Food storage
Cons
  • Long wait

Like many people, I have complained about how quickly room temperature bread goes stale and how much plastic is added to the oceans when we choose to slow the process down for our convenience. Best solution: Bee's Wrap. This is a great way to keep bread stored at room temperature fresher for a few thankful days longer. And the tactile qualities of the wrap are remarkable: when a person wraps the bread in Bee's Wrap, the warmth of their hands causes the wrap to conform to the shape of the bread,

Beeswax foil is the future

I think it's great that the beeswax foil is the right size for my homemade bread. Pros: Wrapper is thick, good size for wrapping bread carefully to keep it fresh. It has a natural honey scent. It can be washed, bent and held together by the touch of your hand warmth. I like that it doesn't stick to itself like plastic wrap - you have to want it to stick with your hand. It's also fully biodegradable, which is a plus for the environment. The long-term cost savings of storing fresh bread far…

First positive feedback I take back

Well I gave it 5 stars a month ago because it worked so well the first few times I used it. We've only used it about 5 times because I bake bread about once a week. When I last noticed the bread was stale the next day (the corners were getting hard) I thought maybe because we were eating it at my mother's house, which is better air conditioned than mine. But we tried again yesterday on a fresh loaf and today our bread is stale and nothing has changed here. In addition, the beeswax coating is…
