I was too nervous to use nail clippers on my baby's nails and they wouldn't let me! Nurse Advice: It's a common misconception that nails need to be filed after bathing. Do not file after the bath! This will cause the nail to split as it is too soft and could harm your child. Trimming nails after bathing is fine, but these files should be used while the child's nails are dry. In addition, filing in one direction also prevents splitting of the nail. I like how many there are in one package. I leave one on the bottom and one on top to make sure they are available when the baby is asleep. Filing his nails never woke him up which is great!
