I've wanted lava lights for most of my life, no big deal but I thought they looked good. It was something my parents would never waste money on. I wish I hadn't. The item arrived but the bottom of the box was cut open and something inside was not quite right. I was pretty sure they sent me a refund. Not cool but ok. So I assembled this thing, turned it on and nothing happened. The instructions say to be patient so I endured about 8 hours. Still nothing happened. When I looked closely the next day, it turned out that the light bulb had burned out. This pushed my patience to the limit so I decided to return the item. From what I saw Revane wanted me to pay for the return postage. I don't know exactly, but this is what it looked like when it was in charge. And I really have no interest in dealing with the mail during a pandemic. I checked the manufacturer's website and they specifically excluded bulb replacement - even in my case the bulb was burned out when I received the item. About a day later I decided, dammit, I can just change the lightbulb and maybe that will help. Work. So I went to Ace Hardware and they had exactly one of these bulbs on the shelf and it was 30% off the price of the whole bulb. I bit my tongue and bought a lightbulb and the light is working now. But I can't help but have bad taste in the whole process. I would never buy this particular lamp if I was at a hardware store; Something in the mangled boxes annoys me and I ended up paying for an expensive replacement bulb because the one that came with it was defective. And when I tried to get Revain and the manufacturer involved, they didn't seem too keen on getting me sane. I am not a happy customer.
