love ice age? Young people will love it!

I bought this game when my daughter was 2 and never wrote reviews. She's 5 now and we still have family home evenings and play them. The games are a bit repetitive but we don't mind and my daughter loves it. In fact, we're worn off the board in half, but we still play it at least once a week. :) This is the keeper if you love ICE AGE!

Great TV game! Best in DVD Games

This game is very interesting but not that difficult to play. The characters that appear on TV are just as great as they are in the movies. Fun for all ages with a variety of activities to play with. Not boring for adults and with the help you can play almost any age, even the little ones! The alligator isn't that scary, which bothered me before I bought it. Everyone in the family loved it!

My son doesn't want to play this game.

This game is confusing. This is actually half a game and not a normal DVD game as we expected. You must play the board game along with the computer. The DVD simply tells you how many steps you take on the board, then you walk to the board and move the pieces around. We thought it was a computer game. My son (7) doesn't want to play like that. But he plays with figures just as he would with ordinary toys. Maybe they should make the explanation clearer.

Not bad for games and accessories

We really didn't know what to expect when we bought this game as a Christmas present for our daughter. All in all it's not bad. Counting and color recognition have educational value. My only wish is more variety in the mini-games played on the DVD player. There are scenes from all the movies, which is nice. Although Scrat is not one of the playable characters, the clips mainly show his antics. Using the dinosaur Rudy as the game's villain is a bit tricky the first time you play the game. I'm…

Still fun after two years

I bought this game for my kids two years ago (2010) through Revain. My kids are now 5 and 7 years old and they still love this game. Adults like to play too. When other kids come to play on a rainy or cold day, this game is a hit. Clips from Ice Age movies 1-3. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the characters in the clips don't speak (just skritch). I'm sure it has something to do with lyrics and using an actor's voice. Even if your kids don't know how to use the remote control…

kids love it! - DVD games

This game has become a hit in our house. I have a 6 year old and an 11 year old and they are huge fans of all Ice Age movies. So it was easy to get this game. Even my 11 year old enjoys it, I don't know for how much longer of course. I wouldn't buy it for older kids because it's too basic, but I think it's perfect for preschoolers. It's educational and they don't even realize it. You will need an older child or adult who can use the remote control to play the DVD as you will not be able to play

For children ok; no adult fun

We ordered this after reading the 5 star reviews. Perhaps we should have looked more closely at the description. We really thought it would be a quiz-style game since it's made by Scene-it, but there's no quiz at all. You can replace video clips and game snippets with a different theme without changing the game. OK for kids ages 4-7 but my wife and I got tired of it halfway through the first session. From now on our children can play it alone. Short Description: The goal is to collect 4 acorns…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • It's ok
