When I received them I checked straight away and found slots in the base of these new filters that the gray plastic pre-filter fits rolled up. and attached to the bottom of the filter. It's very hard to find these filters on Revain that definitely accept a pre-filter. It looks like some do and then don't, based on my questions about other suggested filters. While this doesn't significantly affect installation, I would say that the base of these filters is a bit more flexible than the standard Black & Decker filter that comes with the vacuum. When installing the pre-filter, simply ensure that all tabs are snapped into each slot at the base of the new filter. I will update the filter performance information as soon as I have a chance to use one of the new filters. These filters were for my CHV1410L vacuum cleaner.
