So far these headphones have been fantastic! I'm a person who has completely given up on "gaming" headphones because you're only paying for the name. I originally wanted them to be 3.5mm stereo because all I wanted was good sound and a kit to use with my phone and all my gaming systems. I accidentally ordered a USB kit and I'm glad I made that mistake because the 7.1 knockoff is actually worth it. I started playing The Division on PS4 and while in the hub I tested the audio and was able to pinpoint exactly where the radio was in the room by the sound through my headphones. As I fought waves of enemies and wondered if the wave was over, I could hear the sound of footsteps on the snow and the rumble of gear in my left earbud, telling me more enemies were coming, though I couldn't see them . There are phones to collect that tell more of the story and I was able to find more because I could hear them from a distance where I couldn't hear them before. I tested the mic on this game and my brother said it sounded clearer than my last pair, the Turtle Beach P11, and he said it sounded like he could only hear me, no background noise. The headset is also very comfortable and blocks out noise around you. very good. Some people have reported that the headset is too loose, but if you can't turn your head fast enough to get a whip, sway to metal music, or have a peanut-sized head, it's not a problem at all. However, I would say that speaking into the mic takes a bit of getting used to as the memory foam is so good at blocking out sound. I mean it makes you feel like you need to speak louder because you can't hear yourself speaking, but while playing you usually stop thinking about it and still speak at a normal volume. In short, this is a great headset to buy that easily outperforms any "gaming" headset on the market. I've had Turtle Beach and Razer gaming headsets in the past and they easily beat them all.
