Bought when my son was 9 months old. He couldn't put them together but was fascinated by the way they disconnect and connect - just enough that a chain of two or three would keep him from tipping over while changing diapers, so I think that's a huge win! Now that he's a few months older, he loves pulling pieces out of his bag and watching me put them together, but he's not creative yet. I think by around 18 months they'll be a big hit, but for now I appreciate a few tracks holding his attention, if only for 5-10 minutes. In general I recommend. They are very well made and have great bright colors.
