Fabulous dress! The material is thick cotton. It has immaculately sewn shoulder pads on the inside and a lining. I have now taken it off (which is brilliantly pinned to the dress making it easily removable to place elsewhere on the dress or not to wear at all). my height is 5.8-5.9 inch; 150 pounds. The dress fell to the knee and did not come open when sitting. There is a small button at the top of the dress that I unbuttoned and decorated with beads. Recommend this dress for any professional occasion. Received many compliments. The color is a cross between soft pink and light coral.
