I'm not really a gamer but I bought the G305 because I was tired of using mediocre mice and saw some good reviews on this one. It also looks clean on my desk and doesn't look crazy like many gaming mice do. I just can't believe what a huge improvement over literally every other mouse I've ever used. It's super light, super responsive, super smooth. I use the DPI switch to quickly switch to slower, more detailed tracking for detailed Illustrator or Photoshop footage. Since there's no acceleration (important for accuracy I understand) leave it in faster DPI mode most of the time to get around my big iMac 5K screen quicker. Even at high tracking speeds, the accuracy is so great that I have little to no problem getting the cursor exactly where I want it. One problem/question: On my Mac, I can't get the Logitech Gaming Software to recognize the G305 at all. So I can't customize the side buttons. It's not a big problem, but I'd like to fix it if possible. I know the overlap between gamers and Mac users is basically zero, but: Has anyone here experienced the same issue? EDIT: It looks like the Mac version of the software works now (although it's clunky) so I've been assigning custom functions to buttons, changing DPI settings, etc.
