The bookcase is charming but there is clearly no one size fits all for dowels/screws/holes. While I'm usually good at assembling, I've spent hours driving screws. By hand and with a drill, and then the screws got half stuck and wouldn't go in or out. Passed the project on to my daughter and husband. Vain. I only decided because this mess would take even longer to deliver. They handed the project over to their son and with the help of two high-tech auto mechanics, they were able to remove the screws and assemble the bookshelf. Judging by the reviews, either the screws fit, or they don't fit at all. I would recommend everyone to order - try a screw and see which category your set fits into!
