I ordered it and it was late but the main problem I have is that when I opened it I noticed a damaged area. Looks like it was hit and tried to fix with some white paint. Absolutely terrible. i will return it EDIT: I re-ordered this item because I really think it will fit us well. Once again he was damaged. I go back and look elsewhere for the bookcase.

Bought this for our living room and love the color scheme more than most at Revain. The quality is really poor - the screws don't fit/too big, the dowels make it difficult to grip and assemble, the screws come off easily and there are pieces of paint/varnish that have chipped off. Terrible. Now that it's assembled I don't know how to get it back. Don't buy that - buy something else (especially if it's for kids).

Love the pattern on this one and the fact that it's super small and saves so much space in our little kid's room. Putting it together was kind of a painful thought. Some of the pre-drilled holes weren't done well enough and I had a hard time getting the screws to the point where my hand snapped and some of the screw heads ripped off. Cute design and saves space, but a better way of mounting that doesn't cause damage would be great.

Bought for my son's books and it was about 10 screws, 3 pieces of wood and a fabric piece assembly. The part where people say the screws are too long is only true if you have a wooden stick that wasn't pre-drilled deep enough. Simple solution; Use a drill bit that matches the length of the screw and/or purchase shorter screws from a hardware store. Although not expensive, you get what you pay for. It is very attractive but very cheap quality. The wood resembles pressed board, but the finish is inferior. White on the outside is like pasted paper. You might not notice it at first glance, but some corners were badly glued so I had to glue them myself. This is the WORST item I have ever ordered from Amazon. It's a disaster to get together. The screws don't go in the holes. Both manual and electric screwdrivers only screwed in halfway and then got stuck and ripped off. I contacted KidKraft and they said they would replace the broken parts.
