Bought for my son's books and it was about 10 screws, 3 pieces of wood and a fabric piece assembly. The part where people say the screws are too long is only true if you have a wooden stick that wasn't pre-drilled deep enough. Simple solution; Use a drill bit that matches the length of the screw and/or purchase shorter screws from a hardware store. Overall, I like the look and the price, so my only criticism that deducted two stars was that I hated the instructions. Reading them was hard and disgusting.
