I was wrong. I saw them on a discount site for $18 and made an impulse purchase. People said good things about her. My mistake is that I already have a favorite dish (there are 2 of them). Corelle's 20 oz Salad/Pasta Bowls are perfect in every way, in my opinion. They're thinner, lighter, take up less space, are more durable, and hold just the right amount of salad, pasta, or other food. This is a wider bowl with a flatter side (about 1 1/2 inches). Looking back, I could have bought six more Corelles for $22 (with minor modifications). I'm disappointed in KOOK bowls and they end up in my flea market. KOOK shells are heavier and awkward to hold with one hand. They don't fit as well as Corelle. They're not terrible, they're just not that good.
