Review on 🧵 Brother Embroidery Machine Size A (156) Prewound Bobbins - Pack of 144 by Gelin Battle

I originally ordered these spools last fall and loved that they came pre-wound. They arrived perfectly packaged (no packaging issues in either case), fell right into my two Brother PE-770 machines and worked great. That was before they ran out of cases. :( I went through the first 144 rolls very quickly and ordered a second box (using the same purchase link and clicking 'reorder' so I know I ordered the same one I originally ordered). I was confused when I opened the box. second to make sure the bobbins were not wrapped in the original plastic bobbin cases. Only the lower thread is wrapped around the plastic core. I don't like these new coils. I wouldn't hesitate to give my original purchase 5 stars, but I can't give more than 3 stars for a new design. My Brother machines don't like these new bobbins. I use both machines about 8 hours a day so I use a lot of coils. I have more pain than joy from the new caseless versions. They loosen my tension terribly and I can't adjust them so the bobbin thread doesn't show through at the top of my project. Switching to a standard spool fixes this instantly, letting me know it's a spool and not a machine. And the machine signals that the bobbin is empty when about 1/3 of the thread is left on the bobbin. Otherwise the machine cannot be convinced, so that I end up throwing the thread away. I'm sure throwing away old empty plastic boxes for recycling was also wasteful, but I don't like throwing away perfectly good threads. I don't want to wind my own coils again and the cost for this $144 package is outrageous. Please send us back the plastic crates so we can be friends of our machines again!
