If I were a pet I would definitely like this! It's soft and plush and the Sherpa bottom makes it cozy. However, I've recently learned that if you have a strong and highly motivated pet, this isn't the best choice. tried to undo the nose strap at the junction of two zippers), it was strong enough to hold while riding. It seemed like the perfect carrier for her. I recently adopted her father, a very strong and muscular ragdoll, and that's another story. He weighs less than required and the first time I put him in that position was when I brought him home from the breeder. He was perfectly happy (and I was lucky as it was over an hour away). Next time I used it to take him to the vet about five minutes from my house. Before I got there, it literally detached from the backing. I thought he could unzip the zipper with his muzzle, but he actually cut the zippers. I somehow managed to zip it up to get it inside the building, but the same thing happened on the way home. I'm not sure if the item is defective as initially I didn't have this problem and when I got back I was able to fix it with a pair of pliers to straighten my teeth and the zipper closed just fine. However, the next time I used it, I had to take my dog to the vet and she also opened it, which she had never been able to do before. The warranty has already expired since I bought this about 18 months ago, although I have only used this carrier 6 times to take her home from the breeder and to the vet. It really annoys me that I have to replace it already. My advice: think about the strength of your pet before buying. This pet carrier is US Transportation Security Administration approved and may be suitable for a well behaved dog used to being outdoors. My cats are 100% indoor cats so thank goodness I wasn't in a busy airport or outdoors when this happened!
