Just started learning to sew a month ago and so many articles I've read and videos I've watched recommend the Olfa cutter. I chose this model because I didn't want to add extra pressure to hold the self-retracting model open while in use. It's easy enough to develop the habit of closing the cutter every time you're done cutting and before you put it down on the table. The safety feature of only half blade opening at a time is excellent. I'm two-handed at some things and like to use this cutter ambidextrous. What I like the most is the easy blade changing feature. I never thought, that rotary cutting is far superior to shear cutting. I am very happy with this tailor.
