Review on OptaPlanner by Brad Ward
Easy to learn and efficient, though lacking room from more complex features
The user interface has many customization options that are easy enough for even new users with no programming experience or math background at all! It's not as robust in terms of calculations/features compared against other software like Excel but it works well nonetheless (it can be used without any modification).
Planning projects within my team was very useful because I could easily see what tasks we were working towards each month instead of having multiple spreadsheets tracking our progress which would make updating difficult if things went wrong during execution time-wise etc..
Pros

- Very intuitive & responsive UI designThe only thing about this is really its ability when using various data sources such database tables, excel files,
- Not too expensive / cheap price wise.
- Data analysis capability available through Omnibus mode where you're able view results via report formats
