Working from home sucks when you're crammed into a two bedroom apartment. Working with the TV tray is downright miserable. Eventually I gave up and decided to look for something that WORKS. This laptop stand is great. It elevates my laptop to a working height and allows me to tilt the device in whatever way I find comfortable in terms of ergonomics. There's even room for my trackball under the laptop platform, reducing the overall footprint. Very cool. The only downside is that you have to be careful with the elevation and tilt settings. If you exceed the limits specified in the instructions, the stand will become unstable. My laptop is 14 inch. A larger laptop will be more limited in terms of height. You can always place a charge where I put my trackball to compensate. Just be sensible about how you set it up and you should be fine. That being said, I would be suspicious of using a 17 inch laptop on this stand. If you have a 17 inch laptop, other static (i.e. non-adjustable) stands are available. One more thing. There are a number of coasters almost the same as this one but at a higher price point. Why? Who knows. It had the best price for the design, so here we go.
